Become a part of the opera story!

With Palm Beach Opera’s Story Time Series, young learners are whisked into the pages of some of opera’s greatest stories. Designed for children in PreK-5th grade, the Story Time Series will have children singing, acting, and following along with our Teaching Artists.

For in-person visits, a Palm Beach Opera Teaching Artist will lead a captivating in-person session complete with follow-up activities. In-person visits typically last between 25 and 45 minutes, depending on the size of the group, story title, activities available, and other factors.

For virtual visits, a Palm Beach Opera Teaching Artist will work with you and your technical capabilities to deliver a live, virtual experience to your classroom or group. Virtual visits typically last between 20 and 45 minutes, depending on group size, story title, and other factors.

Join Palm Beach Opera’s Teaching Artists for a unique storytime event in the comfort of your learning space! Children will sing, act, and follow along with our Teaching Artists. The Story Time Series explores some of opera’s most beloved tales of love, magic, adventure, and pirates. Bookings are currently available for the 2022-2023 school year. Please complete the below form to request an event at your school or organization.

Depending on story and class size, in-person visits last between 40-60 minutes. Virtual visits last approximately 25-45 minutes.

PLEASE NOTE: In-person visits will be available as COVID and health related protocols allow PBO Teaching Artists to enter your school site or organization and if the PBO Teaching Artist is comfortable interacting with students. It is preferable if your school or organization sets up the Zoom/Teams/Google Meet/WebEx platform and shares the link with PBO to avoid any firewall or blocks from your District or organization. Please limit class size for in-person events to 35 or fewer students. Curriculum and pre/post activities are available upon request (please request on this form).

This form is booking only one visit. If you would like to book more than one visit for your group, please submit this form for each Story Time Series event. Listing multiple dates helps Palm Beach Opera serve as many groups as possible and resolve scheduling conflicts. The date of your visit will be listed in your confirmation email.
