Palm Beach Opera’s Three-Tiered Artist Training

During the 2016-2017 season, Palm Beach Opera increased its commitment to training the next generation of artists by introducing a three-tiered structured program, where young opera talent is nurtured at every level, making it one of the few such initiatives in the country.

Palm Beach Opera’s Artist Training Programs

The Apprentice Artists are Palm Beach Opera’s community ambassadors, performing throughout the region in education and community concerts, as well as adding strength to mainstage production choruses. During their five-month residency, the Apprentice Artists further their artistic development through regular coaching with the PBO music staff and guest faculty.

Palm Beach Opera Studio

Palm Beach Opera Studio is a free eight-month training program that fosters the skills high school students will need to pursue a successful music career in college and beyond.

The Benenson Young Artist Program is a stepping stone to a successful career as an opera singer designed for emerging professional artists. During their five-month residency in Palm Beach, the Benenson Young Artists develop and polish essential performance skills, guided by Palm Beach Opera’s experienced artistic and administrative staff as well as distinguished guest faculty.
