Palm Beach Opera Celebrates Upcoming Gala with Kickoff Reception at Escada

Worth avenue’s Escada hosted Palm Beach Opera’s Gala Kickoff Reception on Dec. 19 to celebrate the company’s upcoming gala and to commend the event sponsors and supporters.

Guests included the company’s gala benefactors, whose support helps develop Palm Beach Opera’s largest annual fundraising event, which showcases a prominent artist over an elegant dinner. The 2019 Gala will feature an intimate performance by internationally renowned tenor Matthew Polenzani at Manalapan’s Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa on March 2.

“We are thrilled to applaud our gala sponsors whose support and leadership provides for an extraordinary evening of artistry that our community looks forward to every season,” said Managing Director David Walker. “With a star like Matthew Polenzani at Eau Palm Beach’s award-winning resort, matched with Lee Ann and Jeffrey Alderton’s passion and experience as our gala chairs, the evening will no doubt be an incredible success.”

The reception at Escada featured cocktails and a performance by Palm Beach Opera Benenson Young Artist Sylvia D’Eramo, accompanied by Kesenia Leletkina. Throughout the evening, Escada also showcased selected evening gowns.

Palm Beach Opera’s Gala Kickoff Reception was attended by Gala Chairs Jeffrey and Lee Ann Alderton, Anne Bazik, Robert and Meg Biscup, Nancy Feldman and Mike Chefetz, Sanford and Isanne Fisher, Miriam Flamm, Richard and Danni Gaff, Charles and Merrill Gottesman, Ross and Susan Hechinger, Jerry and Judy Kaufman, Melissa Sullivan, Dennis and Roseanne Williams, and Palm Beach Opera’s General Director Daniel Biaggi and Managing Director David Walker.
