Palm Beach Opera Celebrates “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” at Opening Night Dinner

Palm Beach Opera and supporters toasted to opening night of “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” at the Kravis Center’s Cohen Pavilion, catered by The Breakers Palm Beach.

Guests were welcomed by Palm Beach Opera’s Chairman of the Board Dennis Williams and enjoyed a special introduction by General Director David Walker, who shared unique insights into the company’s second mainstage production and celebrated the company’s Board members and major supporters.

Palm Beach Opera’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” garnered positive reviews from critics, praised for its “outstanding” Barber and “imaginative stage direction” by South Florida Classical Review, and for its “rollicking, animated and just plain funny delivery” by Palm Beach Daily News.

“We are immensely proud of our Board of Trustees and our growing Co-Producer family, whose financial support is directly applied to all mainstage operas, and allows us to continue to provide our community with world-class artists and performances,” said General Director David Walker. “With two successful operas behind us, and with the recent announcement of our 20-21 season, we look forward to closing this season with a moving, dramatic production of ‘Eugene Onegin’ and preparing for our highly-anticipated 2021 productions.”
