Pre-Opera Talks
Join us for “Curtain Warmers” one hour before curtain for a 25-minute lecture about the opera you are going to see.  A member of our Artistic Staff will offer a talk designed to connect you to the evening’s performance in an exhilarating and informative way.  Come early and experience insights that only the experts can give!

When to Arrive
The doors to the lobby open 1 ½ hours prior to performances and we suggest that you arrive 30 – 45 minutes before the performance start time in order to find parking and locate your seat. Palm Beach Opera performances begin at 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday and 2:00 pm on Sunday. Those who miss the curtain can still take in the show on television monitors in the lobby. Latecomers can then take their seats at a suitable interval, usually intermission.

How long will the opera be?
Most operas are between two and a half and three hours long, including intermissions.

What to Wear
A night at the opera can be as elegant or relaxed as you want it to be.  Business attire is the norm for opera, but anything goes, from jeans to your favorite evening gown.  You’ll see more formal attire on opening night and more casual dress on Sunday matinees so wear whatever suits you!

Understand Every Word
All of our mainstage operas feature English translations projected above the stage so you’ll never miss a minute of the action or any of the jokes, regardless of the opera’s original language.
